Size Dimensions of Z Flip 6 Phones

Rivaling the Motorola Razr with its larger Cover screen, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is a more affordable version of Samsung’s larger foldable phone – the Galaxy Z Fold 6. 

It may be cheaper (starting at $1,099.99!), but the Flip 6 performs similarly to Samsung’s Galaxy S24. This is thanks to its 4000 mAh battery capacity, the innovative Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and an extra 4GB of RAM compared to the previous model.

The Z Flip 6 also benefits from Galaxy AI features, including a detailed Night mode for enhanced photo quality in the dark. What is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6?

What Size is the Samsung Z Flip 6?

The biggest design upgrade for the Z Flip range came in 2021 with the Flip 3’s redesigned hinge. However, Samsung has since improved the foldable phone’s durability, including an upgraded Armor Aluminum frame.

Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is used for the Flip 6 rather than the original Gorilla Glass, which is built to survive drops up to 1 meter on concrete or similar surfaces. Choose the Flip 6 and you’ll also enjoy IP48 water and dust-proof protection, making it the first Samsung foldable phone to have a certified dust-resistance rating.

Despite these differences, Samsung’s latest Flip release is the same size as the previous model in the generation, measuring 165.1 (Height) x 71.9 (Width) x 6.9 mm (Depth) when unfolded. But utilize the iconic Flip hinge mechanism and the device folds down to just 85.1 x 71.9 x 14.9 mm.

It also weighs 187 grams like the Flip 5, so, compared to bigger phones like the Z Fold 6 or the S25 Ultra, you won’t have to worry about the Z Flip 6 weighing down your pockets. 

While its physical dimensions may have remained the same size, battery size is where the Flip 6 has seen some changes. Samsung has added an extra 3000 mAh capacity since the Z Flip 5’s 3700 mAh battery, now offering 68 hours of audio and 23 hours of video playback time.

Both have 25 W wired and 15 W wireless charging speeds, but the Flip 6 has a better overall battery life thanks to its improved capacity and the new Snapdragon chip.

Z Flip 6 Display Dimensions

As we’ve explored, the Flip 6 features two dynamic displays with unique purposes and therefore different dimensions. 

The Main display is located on the inside of the device when unfolded and has a screen size of 6.7 inches, which is the same as its predecessor. The FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x display has a great resolution of 2640 x 1080, plus a 120 Hz maximum refresh rate for smooth scrolling and impressive graphics quality.

You’ll see the outer Cover screen when the Flip 6 is folded, which measures 3.4 inches. This has a Super AMOLED display and a 720 x 748 resolution.

While there aren’t any changes in terms of screen sizing, the Flip 6 has seen a significant improvement in maximum brightness. The newer Flip phone’s inner display is much brighter at 2600 nits versus 1750, making it easier to see your phone in really sunny conditions.
