Samsung’s newest series of folding phones is finally here! Both the Galaxy Z Fold7 and the Galaxy Z Flip7 were unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked on July 9 2025, Samsung’s biannual event to announce its latest releases. Pre-orders launched on the same day, with shipping and general availability beginning from July 25. This means they’re available to buy right now!
The Flip 7, Samsung’s pocket-sized companion, comes with a Galaxy S flagship-level 50MP camera and the smartest Galaxy AI features yet. This includes easy access to the Gemini Live companion, plus a ProVisual Engine and Photo Assist for image optimization, which you can access straight from the FlexWindow.
With these on-device AI features and the latest One UI8 software is also a focus on greater network security, thanks to the new Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP).
Another key detail revealed during Galaxy Unpacked was the clamshell-style foldable’s available colors. In this article, we’ll explore the wide variety of Galaxy Z Flip7 shades to help you make the right choice!
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Colors
The Galaxy Z Flip7 is available in four unique colorways, meaning you can match the flip phone to your personal style! Samsung has kept some of the same classic shades from previous generations and added new ones, swapping out its signature Silver Shadow for the following colors:
-
Blue Shadow
-
Jet-Black
-
Coral-red
-
Mint
Let’s take a closer look at what you can expect from each shade!
Blue Shadow
Blue Shadow was a shade we knew was coming for sure, since it appeared in early renders of the Galaxy Z Flip7 and many other leaks.

However, rather than the pale blue that was expected, Blue Shadow is much darker — although it can appear lighter and brighter in some lighting conditions. Choose this hue if you’re going for a sleek and stylish look, since the Armor Aluminum frame offers the same matte finish.
If you prefer a bigger tablet-style foldable, check out this color on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 too!
Jet-Black
If you prefer classic shades, Jet-Black is a great choice for the Galaxy Z Flip7. This didn’t come as much of a surprise, since black is one of the most popular colors, with ‘Crafted Black’ making an appearance in the Z Flip 6 lineup.
This was also another shade we saw in leaked renders, adding a simple and minimalistic, yet sleek look to the flip phone.
Coral-red
Before the Galaxy Z Flip7 launch, Coral-red was accidentally mentioned by Samsung on one of its websites and also featured in multiple leaks. This eye-catching shade blends pale pinks with deeper red hues to form a stunning coral, which is also available for the Samsung Galaxy S25.
Unfortunately, availability may vary for the Coral-Red model. Not all carriers offer this shade and the device is only for sale in limited markets or regions, so double-check before purchasing.
Mint
Samsung offers at least one online exclusive color for every new device. The Samsung.com choice for 2025 is Mint, a pale green shade that puts a refreshing twist on the standard white color.
This is a staple in the Galaxy Z Flip range, with the Flip 6 and 5 also sporting similar shades.

Which Colors Are Available for the Z Flip7 FE?
As well as the standard Z Flip 7, Samsung’s most recent flip phone range also includes a new device: the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, a budget-friendly edition of the standard model. This ‘Fan Edition’ foldable offers many of the same premium Galaxy phone features, without the premium price tag.
The FE features 8GB of RAM, an Exynos 2400 chipset, and the same 4000 mAH battery capacity as the Z Flip 6. It also keeps a glossy rear Gorilla Glass Victus 2 finish and the Armor Aluminum frame found in the standard Flip 7, plus a 50MP Main camera.
More affordable versions of flagship devices usually come in a variety of fun colors. However, for the FE, Samsung has stuck to standard Black and White, which were online exclusive shades for the Z Flip 6.
Both devices look simple, yet sleek and neat, but not quite as eye-catching as the base model Galaxy Z Flip 7. While the Black device maintains the same color all the way round, something to note about the White shade is that it includes a silver frame.
Other Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Design Features
Aside from updated color choices, the Galaxy Z Flip7 also features a refreshed design. Though it hasn’t had a complete overhaul from its predecessor, Samsung has made a few changes that improve the new model’s usability and durability.
As an ultra-compact AI device, the Z Flip 7 is powered by a folding hinge mechanism. It features a new 6.9-inch Main display and an edge-to-edge, 4.1-inch FlexWindow Cover screen — the largest on a Galaxy Z Flip phone so far.
This outer screen displays essential notifications, allows you to quickly send messages and check schedules, and even takes high-quality selfies. It’s also the brightest display yet, with a 2600-nit peak brightness and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Another key update comes with the device’s size and weight. Measuring 13.7mm when folded and weighing just 188 grams, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is Samsung’s thinnest foldable of the entire range, with a slightly wider body to support these changes. While the size makes it incredibly pocket-friendly, the extra width encourages much quicker and more accurate typing!
Durability is always a point of contention for flip devices. The delicate hinge mechanism is only built to survive a specific number of folds, while large, dual displays make these phones more susceptible to scratches and cracks.
Like other flip phone models in the range, Samsung has introduced measures to tackle these issues and improve the durability of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The new device features a tough Armor Aluminum frame, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protecting the front Cover screen and the back.
One feature that hasn’t changed is the IP48 water and dust resistance rating. This ensures your phone survives in depths of water up to 5 feet, for as long as 30 minutes, and is resistant to dust particles up to 1mm in size.
Final Thoughts
Compared to the previous model, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 offers a slightly smaller color palette this time around. The Flip 6 came in seven shades, including Blue, Silver Shadow, Mint, and Yellow, plus Crafted Black, White, and Peach Samsung store exclusives.
While this year’s more limited options may be a slight disappointment for some, they definitely complement the phone’s design, without overshadowing it. These upgraded design features are also pretty impressive, making the Galaxy Z Flip 7 a more than worthwhile investment!
